Campus Blood Drives
Blood drives are held on campus each semester. Students may sign up for an appointment to donate or may drop in at their convenience. The Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank sets up a mobile donation site in the Joe and Rosie Ruhl Student Community Center.
Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention and Education
Penn State York participates in the CORE Alcohol and Drug Survey to assess student behaviors. Student Affairs staff are trained on alcohol and other drug issues and make referrals to providers in the York community. Alcohol Awareness activities are held to raise awareness and provide education around risk reduction.
Health History Forms and Immunization Requirement
Penn State policy requires students accepted to Penn State to provide documentation of immunization against Measles, Mumps and Rubella. Two doses of Measles (Rubeola) vaccine, one dose of Mumps and one dose of Rubella are required to assure immunity. Immunization records should be reported through our secure website.
Student Health Insurance Program
Penn State's Student Insurance Office offers a comprehensive student insurance program to all Penn State students. Open enrollment periods are held at the start of each semester. Further information is available in the Student Affairs Office.
