Online Magazine Seeks Submissions for Sixth Edition
“Any Other Word,” Penn State York’s literary E-zine, is now accepting submissions of fiction and poetry from the Penn State York community (students, faculty, and staff) for its sixth edition. Please submit essays, poetry, fiction, short stories or general prose by Saturday, March 31, 2012, for consideration in the upcoming publication. All submissions, along with any questions, should be addressed to Noel Sloboda, Ph.D., assistant professor in English and publication adviser, at firstname.lastname@example.org .
Any Other Word is a creative outlet for members of the Penn State York community and was created to showcase campus talents and unite artistic minds. Work on the first issue began in the fall of 2006. The publication can be read online.
Submissions published in the “Any Other Word” are selected by a board of directors who read all entries submitted and make selections. The student adviser has the final say on what is published. The publication takes its name from the quote by William Shakespeare, “What’s in a name? That which we call a rose by any other word would smell as sweet.”
