First Friday Series Continues December 7
Penn State York’s First Friday Series continues Friday, Dec. 7 with a presentation on Sri Lanka at noon in the Community Room of the Joe and Rosie Ruhl Student Community Center. This program is free and open to the public.
Manel Wijesinha, associate professor of mathematics, will talk about the country of Sri Lanka and share information about its people and culture. The goal of the series is to introduce people to a variety of cultures. The First Friday Series is sponsored by the Penn State York Diversity Committee. Please bring your lunch and plan to take part in this informative program.
The schedule has included presentations on the countries of Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Finland. A presentation on Japan is set for Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, and features Kaoria Ishida, assistant professor of communication arts and sciences.
