Adult learners make up nearly half of the Penn State York student population

We’re pleased that you are considering Penn State as a college choice. Penn State York offers traditional undergraduate, graduate, and noncredit education. As a student you will experience the excitement of innovative teaching and develop relationships that will last a lifetime. We encourage students to make friends, join clubs and organizations and be an active part of the community. Your success is as important to us as it is to you.

At Penn State York, we understand the special needs of our busy adult student population. We realize that many of you have decided to pursue a degree program at the same time you are juggling full-time jobs, and/or raising a family. You may have reached a point in your career in which you must meet additional educational requirements in order to advance, or maybe you are ready to take the first steps toward the pursuit of an entirely new career. We acknowledge and sympathize with the time constraints of your demanding schedules. Enrolling at Penn State York will provide you with an opportunity to study with faculty who are sensitive to your individual needs and dedicated to providing you with the tools and information you need to reach your program goals in as reasonable a time frame as your schedule permits.

More than 160 Penn State majors can be started at Penn State York and completed at University Park or another Penn State location. Eight baccalaureate degrees can be completed at York as well as six associate degrees. For more information, see: Academics.
