Dr. Gill is a lifespan developmental psychologist interested in early development, interpersonal relations, mindfulness practices, and community-based action research.  Her current areas of research include program evaluation and preventive interventions for families with young children from poverty backgrounds to promote health, social-emotional development, and school readiness.

Dr. Pierce’s current research interests include human intimacy and love, spirituality, and developmental supervision.  His teaching interests explore human intimacy across the life-span, counseling and intervention theories and methods, as well as introduction to life-span development courses.

Dr. St. Clair-Christman conducts applied research centered on social justice issues including educational equity for low income families, mental health and families, risk and resilience in adolescence and emerging adulthood, family policy, prevention programs for low-income families and field education for social work and human service students.  She takes a project based, experiential approach to teaching and has developed many traditional, hybrid, and online courses in this format.  Dr. St. Clair-Christman is a first generation college student and enjoys mentoring students from diverse backgrounds.

Dr. Seidel’s research interests include relationship interactions, older adults, and families experiencing chronic stressors.  Her current research explores friendship and relationship differences among older and emerging adults.

Dr. Erin Jant, Ph.D.

Dr. Jant is a developmental psychologist interested in the cognitive and social foundations of young children’s learning and remembering.  Her current area of research explores ways that parents and educators can encourage children’s understanding of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) concepts in museums and classrooms.  Additionally, she examines how the use of geographic information systems in project-based curricula can promote high school students’ spatial thinking and problem solving.
