We often tell students that our commitment to their success does not end at commencement. The vast network of Penn State alumni is an extraordinarily valuable resource to both current students and to the university as a whole. Advising and Career Development at Penn State York provides career services to alumni in addition to advising for alumni considering re-enrollment at Penn State.

Nittany Lion Career Network (NLCN)

This comprehensive posting system allows students and alumni to post their resume and apply for positions while providing networking opportunities via LionLink.

Both students and alumni can access nearly all the features on NLCN for free and anyone can preview the system as a guest. The on-campus interviewing feature is available for students willing to travel to other campuses for a small fee. Employers can create an account and post jobs for free. Visit the NLCN website for more information.

This networking program helps both students and alumni who are exploring careers, connect with volunteer Career Coaches. Representing a wide variety of careers, the LionLink network of career coaches are all Penn State alumni who can provide valuable insight and advice to any Penn Stater who is exploring careers. Go to the LionLink website for more information.

InterviewStream provides video based mock interviews so that students and alumni are able to practice for upcoming job or internship interviews through a computer with an internet connection as well as a webcam. Interview questions can be customized for a particular career field in order to make the experience more relevant.

By using this tool one can receive feedback on non-verbal behavior, communication concerns and more. While this resource is not intended to replace face-to-face mock interviews, it can be a very helpful and convenient supplement in the process of preparing for an interview. Call 717-771-4053 for more information.
